Do you have flying monkeys in your life?

I have them in several forms. They come in the guise of a daughter and sibling to my children that claims to want to have a relationship with my children with no follow through, an ex of my ex that I have to continue to block on all forms of social media because we are not friends, trying to recruit my adult children to do his bidding, and the caring grandmother. Some of them are easy to spot by being solely looking out for him. The rest will wake up in time. I will continue to stay one step ahead.

How do you make it stop?

I, unfortunately, do not have all of the answers to this but I am going to start out by calling it out in a public forum. If you want to know what is going on with my children since they should be your only concern you’d better be convincing in your reasons and not via text message. Just because you are biologically related doesn’t count. Take the time to think about what you want to say and leave it for an hour before you send it after rereading it again. Skipping projection and blame would be a great start. I will give you my email address if you need it.

Those who do the bidding of a toxic person should be ashamed. I did not threaten to take his kids away, I did. Some of you did the same and blamed it on me or that is what I was told by the man himself. I am laying the blame where it should lie. No one can make a man not want to see his children, he does this on his own. He is also the one who chooses to lie to his children, not me If the shoe was on the other foot I would call my children every day and I would tell them the truth. I apologize for making excuses for him through all of these years but I will not fault myself for not knowing what I didn’t know until I knew it.

What did you do to get rid of flying monkeys? Do they know they are flying monkeys and only doing the bidding of the toxic individual or do they really care? I will let you know when I figure it out.
